Terms & Conditions

Acceptance of terms

By using WordCountPro ("the tool," "the site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What the service is

WordCountPro provides a free, browser-based word counter and related text-analysis features (readability score, keyword density, platform character limits). The tool is provided "as is," for general informational and productivity purposes.

No warranty on accuracy

Word counts, readability scores, and reading-time estimates are calculated using standard formulas and heuristics. They are estimates, not guarantees, and may differ slightly from counts produced by other software such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs. Do not rely on this tool as the sole check for a hard requirement (such as an exam word limit) without independent verification.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site to: attempt to disrupt or overload the service; reverse-engineer or scrape the site for commercial redistribution; or use the tool for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

The design, code, and branding of WordCountPro belong to their respective owners. Text you enter into the tool remains yours — we never see it, store it, or claim any rights to it.

Advertising

This site may display third-party advertising to support the cost of keeping the tool free. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WordCountPro and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, this site or tool.

Changes to the service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the tool at any time without notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
